High-Intensity Interval Training

I’ve been reading up on the concept of High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT, for short), and am trying to decide if it’s something I feel strong enough to begin. I found a blog entry by Keith Scott of Back to Form Fitness that does a good job explaining how it works, the pros and cons, etc., and am wondering if any of you currently follow an HIIT regimen at all. Let me know your thoughts, and if it really provides the benefits to you personally.
