…sounds like me moving furniture earlier this week after my girls got new carpeting.

Actually, these are three of the ‘Big Five’ exercise patterns that Craig Ballantyne recommends as part of a fat-burning exercise regimen (BTW, the other two are single leg exercises and total body abs exercises). Most people think that doing long bouts of cardio is the best way to burn fat; however, Craig (and Alwyn Cosgrove and Lou Schuler and many others) recommend resistance training as a great way to burn fat and build/maintain muscle at the same time.

In the first video, Craig describes the Big Five exercise patterns in more detail; in the second, he walks us through a barbell complex conditioning circuit that could be used to either burn fat or build muscle. Take a look and let me know what you think. I’m going to try the barbell circuit next week in my workout - I’ll let you know how it goes.
