Some random thoughts for a Monday….
2008 June 23
I’ve been sitting here with lots of thoughts swirling around in my head, but none of them are forming anything resembling full paragraphs. Therefore, I think I’ll just share my random thoughts, and maybe you can take something away from them for your own use:
- I’m currently reading The Last Men’s Book You’ll Ever Need
by David Moore, and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Moore has a great writing style, and the information he presents is very applicable to my life. I’m trying to get in touch with him to get permission for some quotes that I can use in a future post.
- I set up a goal on MapMyFitness to run 30 miles in 30 days. So far I’m at a little over 2 miles, with 29 days to go. Now that my goal to run a 5K has been completed, I needed to have something else to shoot for, and this one seems challenging yet altogether possible. I’ll let you know how I’m doing along the way.
- I’ve been hearing and reading a lot about Twitter, so I thought I’d set up an account. That was a week ago, and I still really haven’t used it much. Maybe it will take awhile, but so far I haven’t had the motivation to make random updates about what I’m doing (except for Facebook - I really LOVE using that…)
- One of my family’s hobbies that I haven’t mentioned here before is geocaching. It’s been great fun for us, especially while on vacation, as it’s taken us to areas we never would have visited otherwise. We’ve also been following the journey of a travel bug we released on July 3, 2005, and after travelling over 5000 miles, it’s now back in Wheaton, ready for us to pick it up. (If none of this means anything to you, go to the website to learn more.
