Great Olympic memories

I’m already beginning to feel the effects of OWS (Olympic Withdrawal Syndrome) - the viewing schedule on nbcolympics.com is empty, I’ve seen the replay of Michael Phelps winning gold medal #8 at least 3,742 times, and I’m still not convinced that those Chinese gymnasts aren’t really 13 years old (I have a 13-year old, and those girls are a LOT smaller than she is). But, when you balance out the controversies, and amazing wins, and the devastating losses, it was overall a VERY fun and exciting Olympics.

Please continue to pray for the people of China! The exposure that they have had over these past weeks and months has been nothing short of phenomenal, but there is still much that has remained unsaid, and remained hidden, while these Games were in progress. Now that the games are over, it will be even more important to pray for Christian in China, especially those who are worshipping and witnessing in secret, forever fearful yet bold in sharing Christ with someone, not knowing whether that person will come to know the Lord, or whether they will tell the authorities and send them to prison. Pray that they would be bold to share the Gospel, and that God would protect the Chinese Christians as they do so.

So what were YOUR favorite memories of these 2008 Olympic games?

And just think - only 535 days until the Winter Games in Vancouver - February 12 - 28, 2010!
