Sunday Stars for September 21st
2008 September 21
Another nice weekend here in the Chicagoland area. If the weather turns bad and you want something to do when you’re inside, check out these links I’ve starred in Google Reader:
- Warm-ups for running: All you really need - Gear your training and warmups to what you want to accomplish, and be realistic about it.
- Salt-crusted New York Strip steaks - as a low-carber, this recipe really appeals to me. I might just have to try it out this week….
- Facebook, Google, FriendFeed Dive Into ‘Talk Like a Pirate’ Day - I didn’t realize that Pirate was a recognized language, but I guess it is….
- AIG: Now that you own it, learn about it - Technically, we don’t own AIG, but our tax dollars are being spent to shore it up, so maybe we do. Here’s a synopsis of what you and I just purchased.
- How to Kick-start a low productivity day - LifeHacker gives some helpful tips for getting your day back on track when all you want to do is put your head on your desk.
- 404 - for those of you who aren’t technically savvy, a 404 page is what comes up on your browser when the page you’re looking for can’t be found. Several folks have created funny and entertaining alternate 404 pages, and they’re listed in this blog entry from Scott Hodge.
